The initial book titles of WHB authored by Farhat A. Hussain address an engaging range of subjects in a unique manner, contributing substantively to knowledge and understanding and building bridges in society and across the world. Before undertaking a more substantive body of work, grounded in greater theory and paradigms, on the subject of the positive interaction of cultures and civilizations and identifying and addressing isolationist approaches to history, the author had produced work about interactions in specific contexts. These works have contributed to knowledge and understanding of subject matter and approaches, and provide a history of the thought and approaches of the author that has been extended into the eight-volume series and other works addressed below. Due to the geographical and historical proximity of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East concerning the ancient and medieval periods, some of the books written examine links between and within these regions and also, in some cases, other places. The knowledge that features in these titles has, to differing degrees, been disseminated in university, specialist and public contexts where ideas and approaches, in addition to knowledge and understanding, have been shared with engaged audiences in Britain, Europe and other parts of the world. Various titles have also been acknowledged by expertise in various fields whether in knowledge and education, agriculture, garden design, art and architecture, language, banking and finance, medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, the military, diplomacy, business, news media and other, including, in some cases, via written statements that appear in these studies.
